The Prince of Avalon HRH Edward has fled Avalon for ports unknown after being accused by his sister of treason and trying to lead a revolt. His wife Princess Lydia remains in Avalon at the side of Queen Elaine, leading to speculation about the heir for the throne. A small skirmish between a Vendle trading vessel 'The Swan' and the Brotherhood of the Coast occurs and during that conflict The Last Resort comes under the Captaincy of one Iain McDonald.

The Heir of Elaine is revealed to be her brother and it is also revealed that he is married to Princess Lydia d'Montainge. Some factions dissatisfied with attempt to use the new prince as a figure head for rebellion. The revelation of Heir of Avalon has consequences with the relationship with Montegue and the government who see this as a threat to their position.
