This gotta be a part of some master plan to dominate the world, at least the RPG-playing part of population. Anyway, this time it's a sci-fi first person RPG called. The game focused on sabotage, infiltration, rescue, intelligence-gathering, thievery, reconnaissance, assassination, and all-out combat. Empire's secret agent infiltrates to Confederation capital with a sabotage mission to do the undercover work on framing the government leaders and performing all sorts of action on weakening the forces of the Confederation. The ways of sabotage vary from innocent to evil and it becomes difficult for a hero to decide if it is the Confederation who is bad and the Empire who is good and not vice versa. At a certain point a hero can switch the sides and start the activity on the side of Confederation resulting in crushing the forces of the Empire and peace in the galaxy. The third storyline may begin when on the way to the demolition of the Empire and the Rebels who situate in the Confederation capital and sympathize the Empire. A hero meets the dilemma of the Rebels being good and the rest being bad so the choice is: stay with Confederation or switch to Rebels' side.There are six classes of weapons (out of 25 types) and each class needs to be upgraded if you are concerned about not only hitting the target. But damaging it with that particular weapon.

Also there are eight additional skills: first aid, healing, stealth, meditation, hacking, science, stealing, gala haste.It is possible to implant up to five microchips that add different bonuses to the character's attributes. Yes you are correct. I haven`t really played the game past first location. Now I reinstalled it and everything is translated except dialogs which are still in Italian. I contacted the author of this translation patch but my guess would be he has not translated dialogs because he does not understand Italian that much. He used English demo files and online translators to translate most of the game.But all dialog files are simple text files and it would be easy to translate them. Didn't have much luck comparing the files, but I did a quick job to get around it - install the game as normal and choose Alex, then save after intro and briefing and quit and install patch. Works fine so far, although 'Kent Reed' is displayed in inventory etc screens.I'm translating from the Italian dialog files due to my basic language studies. I'm preserving the file structure so that when I'm done it'll be a straight drop-in for the patch.I'm hopeful that my work will be up to par with the excellent job the fan translators did with Precursors and White Gold. I will agree there are very few cyberpunk like games and i really dug the level design and art direction despite it being a fairly sufferable game.

I doubt we will ever see omikron 2 at this point. Though in truth i never finished the first either. I will play almost any cyberpunk game even if it looks to be a stinking pile, though a decent game that had open levels would most likely be my favourite all type game. Hard reset, also not finished, has some decent cyberpunk vibes to it, and the comic-style cut scences are great, but the fast pace shooter genre simply strips away the setting and strategy elements that unfold under a slower pace game. A cyber punk city-builder would probably offer me more enjoyment. You must change the name inside data/text folder from 'eng' to 'fra' if you have French version and I presume to 'ita' for Italian version.

Now everything is in English (except enter and exit button but these are not text files). There are no subtitles for taunts in this English version because there is no sound directory in text folder. In French version taunts are subtitled.

I will try to fix this and will upload upgraded file to a free download server so all you will have to do is to replace data00.sab in your game directory.All I need now is an English pdf manual. You can find it by searching for it, as an additional option.If you are going to play this, don;t worry it's not ike another version of Deus Ex, it has some of the elements, but there's a lot of running around for many minutes on very long roads, and some sections have tons of repeating random outdoor combat. Its a game best to be played in snippets of a couple hours here and there.There are vehicles in the game, you may be able to drive them, but that's later. Until then its pretty slow going.
